“Valeria: Vampire Bride. This render was done as a promo
for the KeenLace 2008 page at comic genesis.”
Here is an old render of mine, circa 2008, Valeria: Vampire Bride. The original was rendered in DAZ Studio 2.0 and this one, which I fixed, was, also, rendered with a copy of DAZ Studio 2.0 I keep on one of my other computers. The reason for that is that my current Runtime is a new one and not the older Runtime; you can't open older scenes if you change the Runtime. I started with a new Runtime because the older one was a mess.
Valeria is the main character of a 3D graphic novel I created and never finished. This render was done as a promo for the KeenLace 2008 page at comic genesis.
I like this render a lot and decided to put it up on the blog, but to my surprise, I saw several problems with the original. First, the hair was raised from her chest, instead of resting on it. Second, her bra size was too big and had a bulge on the top. Third, her Leg Garters were embedded into her legs. Wow, what a second look at a work can uncover. What will I find when I decide to go back on a lot of the work I have done? Amazing.
Finally, I fixed Victoria V4's shoulder with Corvas' SimpleDetailsV4 product which wasn't available when I first rendered this image.
For the graphic novel and the KeenLace promo I used Valeria for V4 (although the promo is using the Victoria V4 body; that was a mistake of mine, too) and one of the hairs I used for her was Allura-Hair. Allura-Hair is one of the fullest, most realistic hairs I have ever worked with in DAZ Studio. The other hair, which I used later on in the graphic novel, was for action scenes; it is the Brooke Hair. The Brooke hair is a believable Allura-Hair made into a ponytail hair style; both hairs are long. It made sense.
